AI Extinction Clock · Possible Solutions

Possible Solutions

Because predicting extinction deserves a number to help prevent it.

A catalogue of proposed measures to reduce AI-extinction risk. Each carries the same discipline as the rest of the project: a named author, a source, an LC class, and a status - and a note on which way it moves the clock's three P's.

How a solution gets listed

Two lanes, one standard

We gather ideas without diluting authority. Every entry shows a status: Established (in practice somewhere), Under review, or Proposed.

1. Editorial-reviewed

Vetted by the editors against a primary source before listing, the default for anything drawn from published research, policy, or reporting.

2. Open submission · with disclosure

Anyone may propose a solution; it is listed as Proposed and clearly marked as submitted, with the proposer and any interest disclosed, until it is reviewed.

The catalogue

Starter set

Seeded from current research, policy, and this week's developments. Each is tagged by the P's it most affects, reduce Probability, raise Predictability, or gate Possibility.
